About Tiny Solids

Starting solids comes with a hundred small questions. Can my baby eat this? How do I cut it? Is this gagging or choking? Tiny Solids answers them plainly, one food and one age at a time, with sources for its food and safety claims.

What we believe

  • Calm beats scary. Clear steps help more than long lists of warnings.
  • Show, don't just tell. Each food page shows the safe size and shape for each age.
  • Celebrate the parent. Offering a new food is the win, not how much gets eaten.
  • Show our sources. Food, guide, recipe and age pages link to the official guidance behind them. See how we review content.

Meet Nana

Nana the banana is our guide. She's named after what our founder's daughter calls bananas, one of her favorite fruits. You'll see Nana around the site, but never on safety pages, where we keep things calm and plain.

How Tiny Solids is funded

The website is free. We're building an optional app to help you track first foods and plan meals. If we ever link to a product we earn money from, we'll say so clearly on that page.
