Privacy policy

We collect as little as we can, use it only to run Tiny Solids, and never sell it.

Tiny Solids is run by Gontech Ventures FZCO, IFZA Business Park, DDP, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the information described here.

What we collect

• Your email address, only if you join the app waitlist. We store it in Google Cloud Firestore, a database service from Google, in the United States, and use it only to email you once when the app is ready.
• Usage data, only if you accept analytics cookies. See "Analytics" below.
• Emails you send us. If you write to hello@tinysolids.com, we receive your email address and message through Google Workspace and use them only to reply.
• Basic request data. Our site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a service from Google. Like any web host, it processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keep the service secure. We don't use this to identify you.

Your list of foods offered, any notes you add to it, the answers you give in our tools, and your cookie choice stay in your browser. They aren't sent to us.

We don't knowingly collect information from children. Tiny Solids is written for parents and caregivers.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google, to see which pages help and what we should improve. It runs only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. Until then, no Google scripts load and no analytics cookies are set.

If you accept, Google Analytics collects:

• the pages you view (the address only, without anything you typed into a tool or search box),
• your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address, which Google Analytics 4 doesn't store),
• your device type, browser and screen size,
• a few actions on the site: switching the age tab on a food page (which food and which age), marking a food as offered (which food), using one of our tools (which tool, never your answers or result), printing a printable (which one), joining the waitlist (that you joined, never your email address), and following a link to one of our sources (the website's name only).

We never send your tool answers, notes, email address or anything about your baby's health. Google signals and advertising features are turned off, and we don't use the data for ads.

Google Analytics sets two cookies: _ga and _ga_<ID> (where <ID> is our measurement ID). They tell visits apart and last up to 2 years. We keep Google Analytics data for 14 months, then it's deleted.

Changing your choice

Use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page to accept or decline at any time. If you decline after accepting, we stop Google Analytics and delete its cookies. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out browser add-on.

How we use it

• To email you once when the app is ready, if you joined the waitlist. After that we delete your address unless you sign up for something else.
• To improve the site and the app.

We don't sell your information or share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that help us run Tiny Solids, which is Google (Firebase Hosting, Firestore, Analytics and Workspace email), and only for that purpose. Google may process it in the United States and other countries, under its standard data protection terms.

Legal basis (UK and EU)

We use analytics and store your waitlist email only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We process emails you send us and basic request data because we have a legitimate interest in replying to you and running a secure website.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@tinysolids.com. Depending on where you live (for example in the UK, the EU or California), you may have further rights, and we'll honor them. In the UK or EU you can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
